ULAANBAATAR, Mongolia, March 21, 2024 – Mongolian National Rare Earth Corp LLC (“MNREC” or the “Company”) pleased to announce issuance of inaugural Environmental, Social and Governance (“ESG”) report of Khalzan Buregtei heavy rare earth project.
MNREC acknowledged the significance of integrating environmental, social, and governance considerations into our business practices. This led to preparing our first ESG report in 2023, demonstrating our responsibility to the environment and continuity.
The MNREC ESG report provides stakeholders with a transparent and comprehensive account on how we undertake environmental stewardship, social impact initiatives, and corporate governance. This also demonstrates our effort towards reducing any negative impacts on the environment, developing good relationships with neighboring people as well as maintaining good principles of corporate governance.
The fact that MNREC decided to prepare an ESG report demonstrates its belief in long-term success and value creation through practicing sustainable business models. We are opting for transparency and accountability that will create trust within ourselves as well as contribute positively to the sustainable development of Mongolia’s mining sector.
