Its focus on minimizing the environmental footprint of the project through process options that target the specific heavy and light rare earths that are vital for the powerful permanent magnets required by electric vehicles, wind turbines, and other renewable energy technologies

We are committed to maximizing the project's benefits to local communities, the region, and the country by supporting national and private suppliers of goods and services. The Khalzan Buregtei Project will also invest directly in health and education programs and initiatives to enhance the well-being and the future economic prosperity of the region

ENVIRONMENTAL CONSERVATION

MNREC has designed a strategy for developing the Khalzan Buregtei Project that focuses on a small and focused initial 10-year phase that can be expanded in later years in additional phases that can extend the life of the mine to 40+ years of profitable and sustainable operations. This gradual phased expansion ensures the maximum use of the project’s infrastructure and offers decades of employment and economic growth to the region.
