MNREC’s 100%-owned Khalzan Buregtei Project in western Mongolia is rich in exactly the elements that are critical for the magnets used in wind turbines, electric vehicles, and electronics. It also has strong grades in several other elements that could be produced as by-products.
A geostatistical resource estimate, supported by drilling and detailed surface mapping, has established that Khalzan Buregtei is one of the world’s largest undeveloped sources of dysprosium.
MNREC completed the project’s Preliminary Economic Assessment in 2021, has initiated the Preliminary Economic Assessment, and will do 50,000m of drilling in 2022 to establish the reserves for high-grade Phase 1.
